Many women already have a skincare routine in place before they begin planning a wedding. (If you don't, it's never too late to start one!) Today, WhereBridesGo.com has a few extra bridal beauty tips that you may want to incorporate to help you look your beautiful best on the big day.

Get LOTS of Sleep

This can be a difficult thing to make happen in everyday life and it's even tougher when you add tons of wedding planning tasks to your to-do list. Making the effort to get plenty of sleep nightly, at least the week before the wedding day, will be worth the effort. The extra rest will help you handle stress better and eliminate the chance for the dark circles under your eyes that a lack of sleep can cause.

Exfoliate Your Lips

This is a part of your skin that you may not think to exfoliate, but doing so will make your lips kissably soft and smooth. Rubbing your toothbrush over your lips can help but using a mixture of sugar and olive oil to scrub them will give you even better results.

Keep Nails Neutral

Your dress, face, and hair will be getting a lot of attention on the wedding day, but those close-ups of the rings will feature your hands and nails. A French manicure is a wonderful way to make them look lovely but not draw too much attention. Light, neutral shades work well too and have a timeless look. Bright colors may look dated in your photos years down the road. Whatever color you decide on, have a bottle on hand at the wedding in case a touchup is necessary.

Use Blotting Papers

Piling on extra powder is not the best way to tame shine on your face. Instead, lightly dab perspiration with a tissue, then use blotting papers to reduce the shine. After blotting, you can finish with a tinted pressed mineral powder if needed. You should be able to find blotting papers where you buy makeup, or you can get them inside our Watercolor Floral Bridal Party Survival Bag along with lots of other beauty essentials.

DON'T Wash Your Hair

This may seem like bad advice, but hear us out. Freshly washed hair doesn't always hold a style as well as hair that has a bit of product, as well as the natural oils from your hair, in it already. You can double-check with your own hairstylist to make sure this advice makes sense with the hairstyle you'll wear on the wedding day. If you must wash it, we suggest using shampoo and conditioner the night before and then just rinse it with water in the morning.

Wear Sunscreen

For outdoor weddings, or if you'll be outside in the sun for an extended period of time for photographs, don't forget the sunscreen. It may not immediately affect your wedding day look, but you risk looking sunburned the days following your wedding, plus it is horrible for your skin. Don't forget your face too. If your makeup does not contain an SPF, put sunscreen on before applying it.

Stay True To Yourself

Your wedding day is a perfect opportunity to enhance your everyday look to something a bit more formal or glamorous if you want to, but don't overdo it. When you look back on your special day in photographs, you don't want to feel like you're looking at a stranger. Don't stray too far from your regular look. After all, that is the look that your groom fell in love with!

The one thing that is going to make you look the most beautiful on your wedding day is the smile that this event will bring to your face. Nothing looks better on a person than true love!

WhereBridesGo.com's very best advice for you on the wedding day is to remember to relax, have fun, and take it all in. This is one of the most important days of your life, and you deserve to enjoy every moment of it.
